The same local service and support your deserve

The technology we use to deliver services will be different, but the friendly local service you’re used to receiving will remain the same.

An important tool for economic development

Many companies consider fiber networks a necessity when considering a move to a community. We want our community to thrive!  The Anderson Community Betterment Club have been working on a visioning project for our community along with Missouri Economic Development Director Mike Downing.  In a recent “Feels Like Home Tour” to Anderson, Downing mentioned one of the valuable resources to our community, fiber.  In a quote from his interview:  “And you know this community as I’m finding out has one significant advantage that a lot of communities this size don’t have which is good fiber. And that means you can start up an internet based business anywhere.”

FTTH Frequently Asked Questions

What is FTTH?

FTTH (Fiber-to-the-Home) is the next-generation broadband network that can deliver telephone, high-bandwidth internet, and TV services at speeds faster than what is provided by conventional coaxial cable or phone lines (DSL).

Who is responsible for this project?

McDonald County Telephone Company owns, operates, and maintains the project.

When and where will the construction occur?

Click here to see a map of the areas we currently serve with Fiber and projected areas for the next phases of construction.

How will I be affected by this construction?

Much of the construction will take place in right of ways, but in some cases it will also involve work on your personal property. This may require trenching, plowing or boring of portions of lawn or landscape, irrigation system, sidewalks and driveway areas. McDonald County Telephone and our contractors will fully restore the areas to their original condition within a determined period of time.

We hope you share our excitement as we work at becoming the next FTTH community in the State of Missouri. McDonald County Telephone will continue to provide our customers with the latest technology for years to come.
